About Me

Happily married to my travel partner Tara, and we own a cute house in the Gentilly neighborhood of New Orleans. I enjoy eating great food, smoking good cigars and drinking too much with friendly people. My wife and I are laid-back, love hiking, camping and (obviously) travelling.

I took a hiatus from school to... not be in school anymore. It took a few years and several jobs to realize my passion for higher education, so I'm back to being a full-time student.

I'm a huge Francophile, I love all things french. I'm visiting Quebec soon and would love to spend a lot of time in Paris and elsewhere in France.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

So far I've loved every experience couch-surfing and with other couch-surfers I've encountered. I love the authenticity of experiencing a place with locals and I enjoy making new friends along the way.

I love New Orleans. I think it's one of the greats. I love showing the city to people who enjoy flavorful food, good drinks, culture, and keeping it chill.

Music, Movies, and Books

Reading:
I've read a lot of nonfiction, histories, philosophy, all that.
I'm a big fan of Oscar Wilde, Hemingway, Kerouac, Hunter S. Thompson. I'm always open to recommendations.
Music:
I live in New Orleans, so I of course like Jazz. I'll listen to anything at a music festival. I love classical music, arctic monkeys, black keys, british invasion shit.
Movies:
Honestly I'll watch any and all as long as I'm with family or friends.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Hiked Angel's landing at sunset. Very beautiful, but a little terrifying.
My wife and I also did a 20 mi hike into and out of the Grand Canyon.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Egypt

Countries I’ve Lived In
