Hi All, my name is James. I am 25 years old from the Republic of Ireland. I'm an easygoing person interested in listening and learning from people as I travel and meet traveller's. I find this the best part about travelling and meeting with people from different countries/cultures. Through this I can develop as a person and have a broader perspective of the world and different ways of thinking/conducting. I'm an up and about type person who won't cause hassle and likes a good story!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I travel quite regularly and spent fourteen months travelling around the world in 2016/2017. I'm interested in people, their stories, perspectives, cultures and ideas. I really enjoy broadening my perspectives and believe by doing so continually I can only improve and develop as a person.

Music, Movies, and Books

Different music for different moods. When driving I listen to blues/jazz music, in the gym/exercising I listen to upbeat r&b and rap music or when walking to work I just listen to radio talk shows!
I like movies that I can learn from and have a meaning/lesson that can be taken. One of my favorite films recently was 'Concussion' with Will Smith. This showed the development in thinking regards concussion in broader society and how one person, sticking to their guns can make a difference!
In terms of books I like biographies/stories about people throughout history and psychology.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I traveled to forty six countries through five continents in 2016/2017. It was an extremely enjoyable, educational and at times challenging experience. It felt like being connected to electricity for fourteen months and really changed many of my preconceptions/perspectives and ideas.

Teach, Learn, Share

I read quite a lot,have traveled quite a bit, enjoy listening to others and think I have a pretty good general knowledge across many spectrums. I've been told I'm not bad conversation!
