I'm a 20 year old male, originally from The Netherlands, who has grown up and lived for the majority of my life in England.
Since the age of 18, I have lived independently, most recently in London and now Matera, Italy.

My passions are primarily finding new ways to relax through hobbies. My main focus in my spare time is exploring new aspects of 'folk' living. So anything that is peaceful, friendly and potentially full of good food!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on Couchsurfing to meet people that live near me in order to establish some local friends.
Further afield, I'd like to make use of Couchsurfing to stay in cities I'm visiting in order to reduce costs and meet people I can share my time with.

Interests

I'm passionate about listening to music - with a specific interest in folk and world music - and playing. I can play a little bit of a variety of instruments including the banjo, harmonica and ukulele.

Aside from music, I like playing football, eating good food (primarily cheese and cured meat boards), visiting and exploring areas that tourists don't necessarily visit.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

One amazing thing I have done is attend Glastonbury festival in 2013. I barely slept, worked for 24 hours over the week and saw the Rolling Stones and Devendra Banhart live.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach English lessons professionally. Whether its looking at grammar, vocabulary or just conversations.

I'd love to improve my cooking ability and learn about the differences in wines. Also, I'd like to become more hands and creative.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share English lessons, basic spoken Dutch and a keen ear and willingness to participate in the hosts life. Whether that is join them for one of their hobbies, or for dinner.
