About Me

I'm James. I grew up in Texas but spent most of my adult life in LA during my school years.
After Uni, I moved to Brazil to take some time off and just enjoy life, I have worked as a life guard, managed a tiki bar, orchestrated and headlined festivals. As great as it may seem, I wanted to try something new.
After spending 2 years in Brazil, I am now up for a different kind of challenge:
To set my foot out of the Americas and move on to other places.
I'd love to stay for a while in Australia, Europe and Asia and learn about the differences and similarities between the countries, the people, the culture.
Yes, I have visited various countries before with my family but these are little vacations where we stayed at hotels and I didn’t really get full immersion where every single place and country felt and looked exactly the same.

On this short trip, my destinations include Malaysia, Singapore, India, Thailand, Philippines, Australia, Denmark, Germany.

Nothing solid but I'll do my best.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I have heard great things about this site but never really tried it as I had no plans of travelling then.
But now that my mindset is stable and clear, I'm gonna give this a go and see what I've been missing.

Music, Movies, and Books

I’m into house, EDM, techno. But you can sometimes catch me listening to Chvrches and Bastille.
I like all kinds of movies but classic action movies like Die Hard truly gets me.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Prolly when I moved to live on my own in Brazil. It was tough but it’s undoubtedly a great way to experience life as it is.

Teach, Learn, Share

I’ve had a fair enough experience in life when I was in Brazil. I’ve encountered people of different ages, sexuality, beliefs and perspective in life. With these mixed encounters, I have also learned to adopt and cope with any given situation presented to me.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share a lot of crazy stories, photographs.
Name what you want, I’d comply within good reasons.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Costa Rica, Cuba, England, France, Mexico, Venezuela

Countries I’ve Lived In

Brazil, United States
