About Me

A born adventurer :)

I went of my first big trip to Mongolia and China when I was 16 on a World Challenge Expedition through my school and since then I have not looked back I have been travelling every year since and I do my best to try and spend my birthday in a different country every other year.

Having studied Animal Management for my degree I have a great passion for Wildlife both domestic and exotics, conservation and education, In the long run I hope in the next couple of years to go back to South Africa to do my park and wildlife ranger training. I also spent a year in Australia working as a tour guide in Alice Springs so I also am looking forward to another year of guiding out there in the future.

Wanderlust for life :)

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Im on Couchsurfing because I really like to stay with people when going to bigger cities having grown up in the countryside where there is not much to do I think it is a much better idea to stay with local people so that you can see the really important and exciting things in a new place instead of all of the normal touristy things.

I love to meet you new people and to hear there stories and adventures!

Weirdly enough I also love sleeping on couches :)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love movies :) as I am a very big martial arts fan I love all martial arts related films old and new, there are really very few movies that I dont like, action, adventure, drama, there is even space for a good old rom com from time to time.

when it comes to music for me it is Country Music all the way it is definitely me favourite genre, but will listen to most things, when it comes to live music i also enjoy jazz and the blues.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in Namibia on my work experience for my Bachelors Degree I was given the task of fixing the underground sleeping pit for the crocodiles in the rehabilitation area of the wildlife park. Myself and the team managed to complete the task without incident until it came to leaving the enclosure where I was charged by one of the crocodiles narrowly escaping the enclosure by jumping up onto the pass over bridge. So escaping a Nile crocodile attack, I would consider that pretty amazing :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I would be more that happy to help anyone with learning English.

I am also a very experimental cook :)

I am also a bit of a clown and I love to learn and teach new circus skills, I love to juggle and have taught a number of people the basics.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Well I like to take care of myself so I enjoy exercise and eating healthily, so I do enjoy to cook and would have no problem cooking and sharing and learning new recipes and cooking techniques.
