Overview
About Me
Ever since I was little all I ever really wanted to do was go on an adventure and be like Indiana Jones or Christopher Columbus (minus the genocide part), but since most of the world has been mapped out by now all I can do is settle for backpacking around for as long as a few months of minimum wage pay can take me.
One day I'll go to university or something, but I'd much rather go to South America first.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I originally signed up for Couchsurfing because I thought it'd be a good way to save money and hopefully meet people who'd put up with me for a few days. I spent four months living in hostels and with the occasional distant relative, and as much fun as that always is, Couchsurfing is in a completely different ballpark, but so similar at the same time. Eventually when I get my own place I'll be happy to pay it forward to other travellers too.
Interests
I like to draw, but I hate figuring out what to draw. I like to write, but I hate to edit. I like to stargaze, but I hate how small it makes me feel (that's not really true, I just like patterns).
Being in the woods is probably my favourite place to be, unless there's a lot of wasps around, in which case I'd rather be inside the car that's in the woods.
Also a big fan of cities, especially the really tall buildings with good views of skylines, but I'm not much of a fan of looking down.
Watching sports is generally good fun, watching sports with a few beers in my system is always good fun.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like listening to emotional music and pretending I'm in a climactic scene of a big movie. Whether that music is hard rock or harder rap, it can all be emotional at the right time, and that's what matters. No screamo though. I muck around the drums sometimes but I'm no good at it. Tapping my fingers though, now that's a whole different story.
If I had a witty way of saying I like Hunter S. Thompson I'd say it but I don't. Historical fiction and nonfiction is also always good, in both readable and watchable form.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Helped get a replica 18th century Swedish cargo ship set up to sail.
Basically I swabbed the poop-deck for four days and got to sleep onboard as payment. Best experience of my life.

What I Can Share with Hosts
I won't lie, I'm a terrible cook. The only recipe I really know is for chocolate chip cookies, but they're pretty damn good, so I can share a few of those. If you give me a little bit of time and a cool subject I can draw a fun picture for you.
I'm also well trained in the ways of thankless manual labour and swearing when I lift heavy objects, so if you ever need any of that I'm your man.
