Currently do public and media work for a U.S. government agency. Have had many other political and governmental jobs in Washington, as well as TV news. Lived in Japan for three years teaching English and studying Japanese and aikido. Love history, travel, reading and writing. Aspiring novelist.
My wife is from Peru, where she was a government lawyer; now she's an English teacher and brand-new U.S. citizen.

Also, I have traveled widely using the hospitality net of Esperanto, the international language -- in Japan and all over Europe.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Mainly '60s classic rock, led by the Beatles. Also jazz, bossa nova, modern orchestral music (e.g. Aaron Copland). Movies: Just about everything, especially history-based drama or documentaries. Books: Lots of history and current affairs. Love Shakespeare and Chaucer (I can read him aloud in Middle English).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Have visited 35 countries. Lived in Japan as an English teacher for three years. Was a four-time champion on the American TV quiz show "Jeopardy!"
