About Me

ABOUT ME

I am a 26 year old from good ol' Houston, Texas. Far far far from being a spirited Aggie, I really enjoy running, being outdoors, meaningful conversations and hot tea. I am, moreover, a servant of Christ. Things you can expect: good listener, don't have to worry about anything scandalous going on, love every kind of person and ethnic group.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The opportunity to share stories and engage with others is huge with a platform like Couchsurfing, so why not save a few pennies and meet someone new?

Interests

I think I answered this in the last question, but they would still include anything outdoors/adventurous, running, reading, hiking, and meeting people.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Sufjan Stevens, The Gray Havens, The Oh Hellos, Bethel, Run River North, Green River Ordinance. Genres I love are narrative pop-folk, indie, and singer/songwriter.

Movies: Usually don't watch them; I prefer more interactive activities. But I enjoy watching documentaries, the best (usually the last...) one I've seen called Waste Land. It's about an artist going to the world's from largest dump in Rio de Janeiro and recruiting workers in the dump to transform photographed pictures of themselves into art using rubbish, which was sold at auctions and used to better the workers and the union they were involved in. Beautiful pictures of redemption.

Books: The Great Gatsby is a classic. I love the honesty it portrays in the fleeting pleasures of this world vs. things that last (relationships, love, things unseen, etc.).

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I've hiked (some) of the Great Wall of China and rode a sled to the bottom. So. Much. Fun.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to run long distances? I love learning, so share with me what you know and I'm almost always be interested to learn it.
