We are Jenny and James an outgoing couple, from Sweden and USA, who like to travel, see new cultures and meet new people. We want to do good things in this world and like to connect with like minded people. We are sailors, fishermen, divers, adventurers, scientist, engineers, farmers, who want to lives life to the fullest! Last year we were in the Bahamas for 6 month sailing with a 30 foot sailboat and living of the grid, free diving and fishing every day to survive. Now we are on a new mission, to travel Mexico and Central America by foot, car, bus, or any way we can get around. Along the way we want to meet local people, learn about their culture and become part of it. We also want to volunteer and help local NGOs and farms that do good for the mother nature.

Little bit about Jenny:

I love adventure and science and combination of both is the perfect match. I have gained a Master in Marine Biology and now looking for options on what to do with it. I have also traveled a lot for the past ten years o my life and still have not got tired of it and want to do more. I am very flexible and spontaneous and like to just take one day at the time and see where it takes me.

Little bit about James:

I grew up in a coastal town of Florida, thus for me ocean lifestyle came naturally for me. I enjoy the simple life of fishing, diving, spearfishing, surfing and sailing. Other than that I see my self as jack of all trades and have done a little bit of everything. However, mostly I enjoy natural landscaping, gardening and growing organic food.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

James is new to couchsurfing wheres me Jenny have had experience in couchsurfing in Spain, Australia, New Zealand and in my home town Stockholm, Sweden. I have stayed at couchsurfers place and I have met up with many when traveling or in my hometown and showed around and gone to couchsurfing events like, language exchange meetings, pot locks and parties. I always had a good time and always met great people. Therefore, I think couchsurfing is a great platform to meet great people and exchange cultural experience.

兴趣

We love all kinds of outdoor activities and specially water sports like: surfing, windsurfing, free-diving, spearfishing, sailing and swimming. We also have an interest in growing food, organic farming and minimalist, sustainable living. We love the nature and want to learn more about how it works and how we can live in a harmony with it. We like to live simple and think experiences are more valuable than material things. Thus, we do not own much but we travel a lot.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

It is hard to say as there are so many things. But we have to say sailing to the Bahamas and back to Florida for 8 months on James solar powered sailboat Valhalla with no fossil fuels aboard and catching fish for living must be the one that sticks out the most!
