Hello!
I'm a proud Brit who is slightly out of the ordinary. I'm from tropical Manchester and my heart is RED not blue (an allusion to football). I love to learn different languages and visit other countries. Most of all I enjoy meeting new people and embarking on experiences that I can tell other people about later on. I am open to letting others come into my humble accommodation. I study French and linguistics at the University of Manchester.

我为什么加入 Couchsurfing

I'm slowly learning about couch surfing as a movement and cooperative practice, I think the world is much smaller and well connected thanks to couch surfing. No hotel could compare to staying in someone's house. I like to meet those who live in the areas I want to visit and gain local knowledge. Me and my buddy Enoch have many great stories from our travels and I wish to add to those experiences.

兴趣

I play a sport called roller hockey (known as 'rink hockey' in France and 'hockey sobre patines' in Spanish), if you don't know what it is then you may fall in love with it because it's faster than many other sports.
I like Learning languages, it's the sort of challenge that I relish for some unknown reason. I like to read stuff on linguistics for fun and general literature if I want to push my analytical skills (yes you did read that the right way round!).

I like a broad range of music genres, broad enough to surprise people at times, although I don't profess to be a music buff. Recently I have been infatuated with the music of the great Leonard Cohen and a few Celtic bands (particularly Big Country). I must mention that I absolutely adore the Manchester band 'James', I'm eagerly awaiting their next album; if you're interested I occasionally write about them. I have also developed a penchant for Serge Gainsbourg's music, possibly because my senses are being ravaged by a deathly disease called francophilia.
