Born on the south coast of England, I have moved about once every other year, and have been lucky enough to have lived in Cornwall, Scotland, on the Welsh borders, the Cotswolds, as well as three years in Paris and now 8 years in NYC.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Would much prefer meeting new people when visiting a new place, and hopefully being able to have fun and interesting conversations as well as getting the inside track on wherever it is my prospective host calls home.

Sadly I share with someone who is not up for hosting, so this is a one way process - I have to hope that I can reciprocate with each host I stay with enough to balance things out.

I love most kinds of music but my favorites include Cowboy Junkies, the Avett Brothers, Andrew Bird, AC/DC, Chopin, RJD2, Wax Tailor and more.

I fall firmly on the Star Wars side of the SW/ST line, love SciFi and animation (especially Pixar), and anything with well fleshed out characters with whom you can empathize.

Last book I read which I really enjoyed was The Book Thief. Just about to re-read the HHG2TG 'trilogy'.

I learnt to fly when I was 18, and narrowly avoided a career as a pilot.

Yes, I can bore you to death talking about pretty much anything technology related. However, I've also got a strong interest in eastern medicine and spirituality, and am a certified Reiki practitioner with experience in dowsing, space clearing and other intuitive practices.
