About Me

I'm an Erasmus student from the UK. I've been studying in Valencia, Spain for a semester and now am moving to Paris for six months to work. I'm easy-going, love being outdoors, playing sport, travelling and meeting new people and fooood.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard about the website through a few friends who have travelled around Europe using only the site and having the best time. They all talk about being blown away by the kindness of the people they stayed with. I'm moving up to Paris and have a flat sorted from the beginning of March in Paris, but rather than stay in AirBnB or hostel etc. for the first month I would love to stay with friendly locals and friends who've moved to Paris to get into the heart of the city and meet new and interesting people!

Music, Movies, and Books

In terms of music, like most, a little bit of everything - but particularly stuff with acoustic guitar, some of the timeless classics of different eras, folk, rock, jazz - good vibes and chilled out!

Movies - More of a series person, I loved Narcos and Peaky Blinders, but some of my favourite films I saw recently are Intouchable and Pulp Ficition

Books - I should read way more than I do and wish I had more time to - I used to love reading auto-biographies of heroes of mine. Some that I'll always love are Swallows and Amazons, Driving over Lemons. I'm currently reading Papillon and Jean de Florette

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I can, I go cycle touring with friends of mine, we've done Land's End-John O Groats and the West Coast of France. Both were incredible and I can't recommend doing it enough!

Teach, Learn, Share

Being a language student I can teach you some of any languages from English, French and Spanish!
I know how to rock climb, play a bit of guitar (although pretty badly but I can show you a few chords)
I've spent a fair few summers working as an activity leader, learning to be patient with kids, but having an amazing time as well.
I've spent even longer earning money to be able to travel and fund trips working as a painter/decorator. So if your place needs a coat of paint I can show you some techniques :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my time with you, good times, my perspective on the world and beer of course...
I've spent time living with people from a variety of nationalities and have really enjoyed cooking alongside them and learning different recipes from different corners of the globe. I'd be more than happy to cook you a meal to say thank you for having me! :)
