Overview
About Me
I joke around and laugh alot. I've got a dark sense of humor. I love to travel. I've always been really into art, music, writing and great life experiences. I traveled the USA for a number of years, mostly on the west coast. I love California. It is like a second home and my brother still lives there. I'm up for a new challenge this year. I fly to Costa Rica in one week and plan to search for a TESL English teaching job as soon as my feet hit the ground. I can't wait to see some jungles and waterfalls and exotic animals. I plan to do a zipline tour, some camping/hiking, perhaps even a skydive while I'm there I am really easy going and well spoken. I keep a clean living area wherever I go. I love to make friends and enjoy positive experiences.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have plenty of money saved for hostels while I'm in Costa Rica. This profile is something of a back-up plan. I've been host to many travelers during the times I was working/living in cities across the USA. I have made long-lasting friendships in doing so and hope to cash in a little karma in my new environment.
Interests
I am a songwriter. You can usually catch me hunched over a guitar or notebook inventing new sounds. I love animals (all kinds). I had many pets over the years; dogs, cats, reptiles, arachnids, etc. I've volunteered at animal shelters and habitats.
I want to fill my passport with stamps. Life is short and I want to see some things! Hopefully my TESL certificate will allow me to do so.

Music, Movies, and Books
I like many styles of music but really dig bands like Modest Mouse, Led Zeppelin, and NOFX. I like authors such as: Kurt Vonnegut, Hunter S. Thompson and George Orwell. Movies: Fear and Loathing, True Romance, Big Lebowski, Spike Jonze Movies.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Packing everything into a van in 2006 and driving to California was a wild experience. I had no contacts or friends there. I barely had a cell phone. Remember, this was before everyone had a smartphone so it was $500 and an atlas that got me through. I've since then made the same drive 5 times but will never forget the first.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what to write here. Teach, Learn, Share: I can teach guitar as I have many times in the past. I want to learn Spanish so that I can adapt to living in Latin America and I hope to share a great new experience with everyone along the way.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I offer an easy experience to anyone who has ever or will ever offer hospitality to me. I'm very respectful of a persons space, belongings, boundries, and quiet time. I have a good common sense of what is expected of me in given situations.
