Overview
About Me
I’m a gay male, a happy go lucky, always smiling, laughing, joking guy. I tend to be an extroverted introvert. I love people and am not afraid to try new things but I can also be shy until I’m comfortable in a situation.
Born and raised in Toronto in a British-Italian family. Later I lived in Virginia (1998) then London (2001-2006) and now Ottawa (since 2006).
I went to school for Astrophysics, left to live in Buddhist monastery, went back for Electrical Engineering and ended working software development. That led me to travel for 4yrs throughout the US (where I met my now ex husband) and eventually settled back down in Toronto. I moved to London due to a family illness and started my career over in IT and stayed there 5yrs. I moved to Ottawa to work in IT Project Management for the government and to be close to my BFFs of 30yrs.
Work has had me stay all across Canada and the US. For pleasure, I have enjoyed San Francisco, Fort Lauderdale, London UK, Mexico and Greece. Now that I’ve downsized I hope to put more $ away to travel more frequently.
I try to be socially responsible and lead a minimalistic lifestyle. I care about the broad brushstrokes of life but try not to get caught up in the minutia.
I have a bachelor apartment in Chinatown with a queen sized wall bed and a small couch. I have 2 cats that are both 15yrs old.
I’m vegetarian trying to be vegan and raw when I can but I’m not religious about it. I personally don’t drink (don’t mind if you do). I prefer to be in a smoke and drug free home. I am not a “partier” and prefer not to be in that type of environment.

Music, Movies, and Books
I’m a kid of the 80s so I have a special place in my heart for 80s pop. I tend to read books on Buddhism and personal growth. To me all movies are an experience but I tend to sci-fi, deep emotional or introspective movies. Some plain old comedy, horror and action films can fill the gap too. I love Anime and superhero cartoons: Sailor Moon, She-ra, Thundercats and Justice League are my guilty pleasures. For sci-fi, I love Doctor Who, Star Trek and Stargate to name a few.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
While working in the US I did sky diving, hang gliding and whitewater rafting which really got my sense of adventure started.
Teach, Learn, Share
I’d love to learn how to cook or prepare different dishes as cooking is one of my major weak points. I’m happy to help in any thankless tasks and am good at organizing and decluttering.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Depending on what is wanted from a guest I can be quiet and to myself. I can also offer a lot of laughs, join a card or board game, go for a walk or hike and explore, share a meal and have a down to earth grounded conversation on the big things in life without getting caught up in esoteric intellectualism.
