About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Meet new people, enjoy life day by day, and do something crazy every time I have the chance

ABOUT ME

Don't even know where to start. I'm a super outgoing, social guy and make it a priority to meet new people daily but not in a weird way, it's got to come naturally. I'm always trying to learn cool stuff, hang out whenever possible, and balance my work with doing crazy things (work hard, play hard). I love Mediterranean food, fast cars, and pushing the boundaries in any way I can find.

PHILOSOPHY

I find it of the utmost importance to always be on the pursuit of knowledge, always seeking out new things. I'm very comfortable with my personality, but I'm also very open to learning about new walks of life and possibly adding them onto the way I view life and/or myself. Basically, I think we should all "live and let live," meaning be confident in who we are and respect that others have the right to the same thing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

Just moved with the fam to Cincinnati and would love to meet some cool people in the area. I'd also be down to host some people once we really move in, but for now just want to reach out and see what's out there.

Interests

So many! Don't want to sit here and list them all because how boring is that? The things most important to me are my family, education, and pursuit of happiness. Anything that benefits those categories is going to be awesome and I'm going to love it. I love being outdoors and playing sports (mainly soccer) but bein inside for a while is cool too. I could go on, but to be honest I'm the typical 23 year old college grad that just wants to have fun and get started on his career (which is hopefully medicine!).

Music, Movies, and Books

Love hip-hop, electronic music, and some country/bluegrass. Weird combination I know, but it's just what I like! Very open to all types of music though.

As for books, my favorite book ever is the Kite Runner, but there are many up there in the top.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The artwork, ruins, and nature I've seen on my travels have been amazing, but I think the most unreal thing I've been a part of has been volunteering at a camp for disable children called Camp Aldersgate in Little Rock, AR. I volunteered there for over 500 hours during my high school and college career, and I have seen so many amazing kids come and go; but each time I see how we can change their lives I feel like a new man. Every week I feel amazing because they feel amazing. I hope to volunteer their in the future and be a part of many more incredible memories.

I'd say the one experience that has really stood out to me has been the moment I got accepted to Duke University as an undergraduate. I was so nervous and anxious during the application process, and the sense of relief, excitement, and disbelief that swept over me when I read the letter acknowledging acceptance to my dream school was almost too much to handle. I had the best four years of my life there, and I will still remember the day I held that fateful letter in my palm, opened it, and changed my life forever.

Teach, Learn, Share

I come from a Lebanese family and go back to Lebanon all the time, so I have an interesting culture to share. I'm also very well educated and love talking about anything related to academia, politics, science, etc.
