ABOUT ME

I am an outgoing person many different interests, as diverse as gardening and squash. I am also a very contemplative person, described by many of my friends as a 'thinker'. I am conscious of my place in life and where I am heading. Right now, I'm at a crossroads. I've decided to slow down, smell the roses and decide carefully which route to take. Travel is important to me as it opens up the mind to new ideas, new people and new possibilities. I want to lead a happy life, a positive life and, most importantly, my own life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've surfed once before. It was a great experience and I'm looking forward to surfing again soon and one day becoming a host, when I have my own place.

Interests

I enjoy listening to music, reading, gardening, driving, cycling and squash. When I travel, and am freed from the distractions of everyday life, I also like to view art and practice photography. I really should make time for these in my normal life!

I enjoy cycling and driving because I love the thrill of moving and seeing new things. I suppose they are, in many ways, like a microcosm of travelling.

Music, Movies, and Books

On The Road by Jack Kerouac might have changed my life, we'll see.

Bloom (album) by Beach House was the soundtrack to my trans-American road trip in early 2013. I still have vivid memories of listening to Left of the Middle (album) by Natalie Imbruglia when, as a child, my family and I drove around Australia on a holiday.
