Interests

I study and practice martial arts. I write poetry and novels. I teach English. I work out. I like to dine on local food; I like to hike and explore; I like to go out for drinks. I like to meet people from other countries and cultures, and I like intelligent conversation. I seek out new experiences wherever I go, and I love adventure.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to an eclectic mix, including alternative rock, rap/hip-hop, classical, blues, jazz, classic rock, and way too much Wu Tang Clan.

I love film, and I used to teach film criticism, so my taste in genres is wide, though selective.

I'm an English teacher, so books are my thing, but I prefer non-fiction to fiction, especially books about philosophy, psychology, consciousness, and linguistics.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Read some of my poetry on Radio Taiwan International.

Teach, Learn, Share

Docendo discitur.

What I Can Share with Hosts

A comfortable apartment, a fun neighborhood in an incredible city, some good conversation, and maybe a few beers and some stinky tofu at the night market. I also have a car, so if I'm free I may be able to take you on a ride downtown or a short day trip somewhere in the Taipei area.
