Overview
About Me
Hello there! I'm from Phoenix, Arizona. I've spent 9 years teaching in South Korea. I work at a school in rural Honduras, 40 mins outside of Tegucigalpa. Love traveling and sharing new experiences.
I am currently on summer vacation and have about a month to travel through Honduras, Guatemala, and Belize.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I really like the concept of mutual aid and sharing one's space with others when in a position to do so. I think we need to dramatically reimagine what it means to be human and challenge the status quo in order to make some necessary and lasting change to our world.
I love hearing people's stories and sharing ideas about any and everything
Interests
I enjoy cooking, reading, wandering, hiking, birdwatching, scuba diving making bad puns in as many languages as i can, new experiences, nature, tacos, reimaging the way we live, and good conversations. I like learning more about and discussing philosophy, critical theory, politics, music, art, film or wherever the conversation may go.

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm a big fan of hip hop but love many generes.
Some of my favorite authors include Peter Gelderloos, James Baldwin, Kurt Vonnegut, Albert Camus, and Jean Paul Satre.
I'm really interested in learning about educational theory. I find critical and radical approaches to education to be really interesting as well.
I love silly comedies to art house flicks and sci fi. Primer, coherence, and dogtooth are some favorites that come time mind at the moment.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I just finished my advanced open water course. Saw some squid, an eagle ray, and a queen angel fish this morning!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always in search of new experiences. I'd love to learn more about yoga, meditatiation, cooking, gardening, and nature.
As far as skills I can share....I taught English in Korea for nine years, if there are any English Language Learners out there, I'd be happy to help. I also enjoy cooking. I'm largely self-taught but love cooking with others and would be glad to trade tips and recipes.
I've also got a lot of stories, experiences, and opinions to share. I really do enjoy sharing ideas and discussing just about anything.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I am a conscientious and respectful guest. I appreciate the couch surfing community and the ideals of mutual aid that it is founded on. I do my best to honor those concepts by being respectful and neat.
