About Me

CURRENT MISSION

On our honeymoon. Currently in South Africa...getting ready for Tanzania and Ethiopia

ABOUT ME

We are a newly-wed couple on our honeymoon. We're newly married but have been together for 9 years and we're totally drama free. We love to travel, cook/eat, and get our feet dirty on the ground.

PHILOSOPHY

Always keep an open mind

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've lived and traveled all over the US and have always had an "open door" policy. We choose the places we live carefully and love to share our cities with friends and family. In NY - we were always inviting people to come explore the city with us and offering our spare room and awesome sectional couch as a free place to crash. Its always great getting to show people you care about all the nuances of "your" city and having them fall in love with it too.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We've couchsurfed at friend's houses and are always delighted at the warmth and welcome that they give us. Its how we hope our friends feel when they stay with us. Once - we woke up to an empty house (our friends were off at work) and fresh scones, berries, and home made whipped cream on the table! Totally unexpected and so delicious :)

Hip Hop. Good movies. All kinds of books.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On night safari we entered a tunnel of trees and, hearing the crunch of leaves underfoot, discovered a huge elephant to the left of the vehicle. As we stopped to take a picture, the whole herd emerged onto the side of the road, quietly grazing. There were at least 8 of them, and one small 2 week old baby. It was such a surreal and beautiful moment!
