ABOUT ME
I'm a University of Utah student with journalistic interests. I am easy going and open to any adventuring possibilities. I am interested in topics ranging from math and science to politics and literature and relish opportunities for quality conversation. I'm left-handed and can't cut in a straight line. I was born in New York City in the same hospital John Lennon died in, and like to consider myself his re-incarnation, even though I'm not really musical at all and don't have long hair or quite as radical ideas. I enjoy meeting people from all walks of life. I imagined I'd be the sort of person who would like to have a monkey as a pet.
Interests
I grew up in the mountains of Utah and love to run, ski, hike. I enjoy language learning. I love hearing people tell cool and interesting stories. I savor a good book. I can play the theme from the movie The Godfather on the accordion. I'm one semester away from a bachelors degree in math with minors in arabic and middle east studies. I think it would be pretty cool to live in a cave but I don't know if I would have the guts to go through with it.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Riding a bus on a windy road in the Himalayas from Nepal to Tibet -- amidst waterfalls and land slides and Nepali maoist rebels who pulled the bus over and demanded a bride, but then kindly handed out receipts so we wouldn't have to pay more rebels stopped us down the road.
Running a small 10k race organized by the community church along the dusty roads of Debre Zeit, Ethiopia, next to some locals who took an early lead and never looked back.
Darting from tree to tree with children from a small village in Uganda, chasing monkeys with dogs and slingshots and thinking to myself, 'I'm a long way away from Salt Lake City, Utah, USA'
Countries I’ve Visited
