About Me
CURRENT MISSION
I am looking to explore and enjoy different people and places :) and laugh as much as possible along the way :)
ABOUT ME
-allergic to cats-
“Hello!” says this jolly and mellow man to you :) How would I describe myself to you: the wonderful person blessing my page with your eyes? I guess I would have to share my motivations in life. I am a goal oriented, driven person who cares little for material gain past that of necessity. My number one motivation is to know more fully the peace and love that resides in my/our heart(s) and is my connection to the ultimate reality/God/Brahman/Oneness/Void/whatever you call it. I live my life so as to learn to trust my heart and become receptivity to experiences and those around me.
I am a good hearted fellow that really likes to smile.
PHILOSOPHY
I enjoy going to Catholic Church on Sundays, meditating, and going to see non-dual/Advita teachers whenever possible. I feel all of these practices help me open my heart.
I will not go to a Church that preaches about a judgmental, non-inclusive, angry god. Some priests preach the true Gospel, and some preach politics. God to me is love. God to me is alive and well in our hearts.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Right now I am going to school full time at Cabrillo College – a junior college in Aptos, Ca - majoring in communications. I will get my associates in a year and transfer to either San Jose State U, California State U LA, or San Francisco State U for a film major, communications minor... or maybe life will bring me another option I don’t see yet.
This summer I am exploring these areas and places in between. I want a feel for these areas and the people within them and through my travels a greater feel of life. :)
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have yet to experience a formal Couchsurfing connection. I met and hung out with Erin Klein and enjoyed her company greatly. She is part of Couchsurfing and this got me interested in exploring it.
Interests
After the whole God/heart/ultimate reality motivation I am motivated to seek joy in laughter, I am inspired by school book learning, I like to exercise: weights, swimming and hiking, I like eating meat and drinking coffee and I enjoy high culture-art. Oh and recently I have gotten into the whole nudist thing – when appropriate such as on a designated beach or retreat center. You know, places where it is legal and wont offend.
I haven’t changed my consciousness from alcohol or weed since Thanksgiving 2010. I haven’t smoked a cigarette since New Year’s Eve 2010. I am not a “hater” but I tend to find something else to do when people are going to party.
I am not interested in sports.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Lately I have been exclusively listening to Bjork. I do enjoy other music: classic rock, classical, a little country etc..
Movies: I enjoy art house movies most. I love Woody Allen and have seen all of his movies (some of which weren’t my favorite but with 40+ movies there are more than a few that I found fantastic). I enjoy comedies that are minimally slapstick if at all and heavy on wit. I enjoy Wess Anderson’s movies: Moonlight Kingdom rocked! I enjoy movies were the storyline does not have to be propped up by million dollar pyrotechnic displays.
Books: I don’t really read fiction or nonfiction stories. I don’t watch TV either. I am not equating reading a Shakespeare to CSI Miami or something but I have equal interest in either one.
I enjoy school books full of facts that bring me new perspectives on life and the way things work. I also love the internet for it’s amazing amount of information. I have fiction books people have given me over the years on my bookshelf that go unread but I quite often find myself with one of my 3 dictionaries in my hand.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sitting in Satsang with Adyashanti, Mukti, John Bernie, Loche Kelly and Leonard Jacobson. Being in the presence of Amma, Don Miguel Ruiz, and David R. Hawkins.
Just after a giant storm my buddy and I went to a stream mouth at the ocean. When a giant wave came we would run for our lives up the stream bed with a 5 foot wall of water on our heels and at the last moment we’d scramble up the side. The ocean almost swallowed us for a couple hours. My face hurt from smiling and my laughing cries sounded like an ecstatic child.
Attending every Broadway musical in NYC I have ever seen.
Teach, Learn, Share
What can I teach you? I am not well practiced anymore but I have helped a few people improve their game of pool.
I can teach you about how I exercise and we can reference the internet for diagrams of human anatomy and contemplate its function. As of February I have picked up swimming and can now swim a mile in 31:45. I could teach you what I know about that if there is a pool nearby.
I can meditate with you. Sometimes proximity to someone that is experienced in meditation can help a less experienced person along a bit.
I am always willing to explain a concept to someone. If I know about something that is interesting to you when we are in conversation just ask for more information and I will ask the same from you.
What do I want to learn?
I am very interested in botany when it comes to native plants. If you have a good book and some knowledge I would love to go on a hike and identify plants. I got into botany a couple years ago and have forgotten a lot of the terminology that goes along with identification but would love to pick it up again. Maybe we could eat some Prickly Lettuce and Mallow together :)
Know anything about native animals?
Let’s go on a hike and we can share what we know as well as learn some great landscapes :)
Tell me stories. I like to learn from other’s experiences.
Share: Smiles, laughs
