About Me
ABOUT ME
We are a Gay couple, recently married, but together for 26 years. We enjoy traveling, meeting new people, experiencing adventures, and life in general. Frank is self-employed as a LGBT Political Consultant and former High School and College Guidance Counselor. I have worked 24 years in medical services for one of the largest health systems in Metro Detroit. Our international travels have taken us throughout Canada (just across the Detroit River), Germany, the Netherlands, as well as other countries. In the States, we enjoy major cities: San Francisco, New York City, Chicago, Washington, D.C., Boston, Cleveland, Indianapolis and others.
PHILOSOPHY
Our motto for living: Respect and Value Each and Every Person, Everyday.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Frank and I are positive, friendly, and easy going with great senses of humor. We can be as outgoing as you wish or as quiet as you wish. Open to new experiences and always open to answering any questions you may have of us.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
While CS virgins ourselves, we have had the pleasure of meeting Detroit locals who have couchsurfed - a fun group of people with exciting experiences to tell. In the future, we hope to travel as Couchsurfers and have the opportunity to host travelers from around the world at our home.
Interests
Traveling, dining, enjoying the company of diverse people, reading, liberal politics, music, and LGBT causes.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Married. Waited outside the U.S. Supreme Court building for 29 hours in the snow, rain, sleet and cold in order to hear California's Prop 8 argued before the Supreme Court. And, we did!! Met Hillary Clinton. Plaintiffs in an ACLU lawsuit suing the Michigan Governor and Attorney General for legal recognition of our marriage.
What I Can Share with Hosts
We are always happy to share our travel stories, but more interested in learning about our CS host's life experiences and the locale we are visiting. If you invite to stay with you, we will respect your home as ours - honoring your rules and expectations, and cleaning up after ourselves. We do not expected to be waited on or entertained. When we travel, we are out-and-about, but welcome the opportunity to share meals and to participate in activities with our host.
