About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Learn how to translate soil, climate, geography, and culture into a bottle of wine.
ABOUT ME
I'm a traveling winemaker always looking to enjoy new cultures and natural wonders. I've worked 7 harvests around the world and now I'm working on my masters degree in Montpellier, France.
It blows my mind how many amazing people there are to meet who have different perspectives to share. So much diversity and range of experience.
I usually have a couch or extra bed to offer at least three months per year.
PHILOSOPHY
I try to walk down my path and approach every experience as valuable.
Striking a balance between spending time in nature and cities is always a good idea.
Getting in touch with the world is as easy as getting to know people who live in it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Meeting up for cultural or nature stuff. I also love getting drinks where people actually live life and avoid tourist/clubbing scenes.
Depending on my housing situation, I love to host as well!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Been to a few, really fun meetups in San Francisco and Perth. I also lived with a few couchsurfers alongside friends in the States.
In Perth, I was lucky enough to stay with a great guy who showed me around. We also had tons of fun playing music.
I've hosted a few people at my place in Montpellier, France now. Really good times!

Music, Movies, and Books
Afrobeat, rock, jazz, world music, reggae, latin, electronic...
I read a lot of wine books, but I also love Tom Robbins, Kurt Vonnegut, Gabriel Garcia Marquez and other magical realism-type writers. Bill Bryson is fun to read for non-fiction too.
Art, design, and architecture have always been interesting to me.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Building a house on the side of a steep mountain in Antigua, Guatemala.
Hours of heat lightening on the dock of a lake in Missouri, USA.
Watching shooting stars from a hot tub in the redwoods in California.
Played reggae on stage with a band in Langkawi, Malaysia...added a dash of funk guitar :)
Driving across the USA in an arctic storm with a 2500 lb. trailer attached to my car and a time limit.
A five minute fight between a seal and a seagull... the seagull won.
Milford Sound in New Zealand: waterfalls falling from the tops of steep mountains into the sea and dolphins swimming around. Fucking rainbows and tree avalanches!
