ABOUT ME

We are Rachel, James, Adam and Beth. Adam and Beth are still both young kids that wake at night so we need to get through this stage before we host again but we can't wait for them to meet people from all over the world. Needless to say this means that late nights in pubs and clubs have been replaced with a couple of bottles at home after cuddles and bed time stories. So only request to surf if your happy to share our house with Adam and Beth.

We live about 1 mile from Birmingham City centre and like to think we know a fair bit about the place so we will happily point surfers in the right direction and ensure you get the most from what we think can be a great little city if you know where to look!

We're curious little souls (especially Adam and Beth) so expect us to hit you with lots of questions about history, geography, politics, and your own home... though also feel free to tell us to be quiet if it gets too much!

Also, we should note that we're vegetarian, so no meat please though we can cook some tasty veg food if you visit Birmingham!

PHILOSOPHY

Life is an amazing place full of change with more things than you can ever see or do in a lifetime, so never get caught in the net of routine and watch it all go by!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

We've eventually compiled a little document explaining how to get to our house and giving a few tips on where to go and what to do. It's a bit of a work in progress, but it should help people get the most out of 'Brummagem'!

You may become one of our contacts if you live in Birmingham. If we get a CS request and we can't host then it's good to know some people we can recommend!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

We hosted some great people in Birmingham and then some kind of karma led to us stopping with some really warm and welcoming people when we were cycling through Europe in 2008. Since then Rachel travelled down to see family in Spain via CSers in Paris and Madrid.

Algo increíble que he hecho

Cycle touring for 1,700 miles through Central Europe on a two month Honeymoon. It's going to take a few years to properly process all of the amazing sights, the food, the people, the experiences.
