Overview
About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Make bicycling better for people through infrastructure and tools
ABOUT ME
Graduate of UIC's CUPPA (college of urban planning and policy).
Used to work for City of Chicago managing bike parking installation. I now blog at GridChicago.com and do freelance consulting projects to help build bicycle cultures.
PHILOSOPHY
I'm always working to better myself and my personal relationships. I am also trying to build a bicycle culture in Chicago as I believe the bicycle is a great tool to support economic and social stability.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I've hosted over 30 people from 2008-2011. People from Germany, Colorado, Canada, Arkansas, and more! I've also walked and biked around Chicago with people who already had a place to stay here. Sadly I cannot host people at my current apartment.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've surfed in Minneapolis, Seattle, and Bremen, Germany.
Interests

Music, Movies, and Books
I recently learned how much I like martial arts films from China. And gangster films from Korea. And American comedies.
I like Madonna, Lady Gaga, and Scooter's droning hard techno with nonsensical lyrics.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've traveled to Brasil four times. My mother was born there - that actually makes me Brasilian (I got the passport to prove it!). I stayed with family each time, and stayed between 3 and 6 weeks each time. Each visit is as mesmerizing as the last. She also took me to see Paris and London when I was in middle school - that was pretty awesome but I wish I had a camera back then. We're good travel buddies.
