Music, Movies, and Books
Alternative music is my favorite, but I dabble in most genres.
Nathaniel Rateliff and the Japanese House have been on high rotation.
I am trying to get out of the Hollywood mould and watch more international films. My friends and I do a monthly, just-for-fun film discussion. Next up: LA Confidential.
Favorite tv show: Deadwood.
I really enjoy the poetry of Jim Harrison and prose of Cormac McCarthy. Blood Meridian is a masterpiece.
Currently reading: Camus & Salt, by Mark Kurlansky.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I watched the sun rise at Hua Shan, outside Xi’an, in China.
Teach, Learn, Share
Travel without reflection is just motion without meaning.
I can help with your English! I’m a trained ESL professional (adult education).
I'm certainly introspective but enjoy a good deep conversation.
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share the experiences of a late-blooming, homeschooled introvert who moved across the world. Also, can help to tidy up, take care of animals, or do some yard work.
