About Me

I am currently studying Chinese at Tianjin Foreign studies University, but in July 2016 graduated from the University of Leeds with a degree in International Business.

I live just outside of Oxford, UK but have also lived in Leeds, UK whilst at university.

I am 23 years old, very active and love socialising. I play football, tennis, table tennis and lacrosse and am willing to try my hand at all sports. My claim to fame is I used to coach Kate Moss's daughter tennis. My signature dance move is called the skanky leg.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although new to Couchsurfing I am on Couchsurfing because I believe the best way to explore new places is to meet local people. Couchsurfing is a brilliant way to meet new people and share common interests and experiences.

It was recommended to me by a few friends, as they said my personality is suited to be a Couchsurfer. I'm a sociable person and willing to try and experience new things.

Interests

Football, Mandarin and Entrepreneurship.

As an Englishman football is my passion, although the hope of becoming a professional footballer is long gone I still regularly play and watch football.

Since first coming to China back in 2008 I have been intrigued not only by Chinese culture but also by the language. How can these intricate and beautiful chinese characters convey meaning? But also how can China the next world superpower balance rapid economic growth and maintain its cultural identity.
