CURRENT MISSION
Very excited... I've only ever traveled in Africa, and so Europe seems like a thrilling adventure. I am flying into Frankfurt on June 3rd, and plan to take a train around Belgium, Germany, and Czech Republic, where I'm flying out of Prague on June 28th.

Everything in between is up in the air... But things I plan on doing include:
- Comic Arts Museum in Brussels
- the city of Bruges
- Flanders Field to see the poppies
- Architecture and Historical sites in general
- Dance to some techno in Berlin, in particular #herrensuana

That's all for the moment. I've only ever hosted people before, and I'm hoping to have the opportunity to be hosted while in Europe. I'm pretty eclectic, into art, architecture, history, and counter/queer culture in general. I'm looking for hosts anywhere within Frankfurt, Brussels, Bruges, Antwerp, Berlin, and Prague ... maybe Paris, but depends on when I get there.

I'm friendly, adventurous, but also a big reader and quiet time person. I'm a writer, so a big part of this trip is new inspirations, and new experiences. If hosting isn't possible, I'd love to meet-up with anyone who can show me around.

ABOUT ME

I guess I'm a struggling artist, who loves to learn, so I am often back at school for something new, while trying to be a writer on the side. I'm pretty witty, try to be clever, have a weakness for weed, but have kicked most of the other habits. I'm told that I am fun to be around, and am surrounded by a tight family of friends. I am gay, but am a little out of touch with the gay community in Toronto. I like ordinary pubs more than anything, though I do like to dance. I live in a large apartment that is shared with two others in Toronto's Kensington Market.

PHILOSOPHY

Total respect to everyone, try to treat everyone with the respect deserved them. I believe in staying calm, but am more often gone off frantic. And don't take life too seriously, try to find a joke in everything. Very adventurous.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

For hosting I am open to providing places to stay for short visits. I am very familiar with the area and can help you find what you might need. I'm a push-over for charming people, so likely stays can be longer.

As for my place, it's a little weird - I've been living here for ten years, but have two roommates who are often in flux. We also have two very frisky cats.

The main living room can be used for short stays, I've told the current roomies that I am doing this, but as they are not signing up I have to be aware of their boundaries. I also have a couch in my room, which can be used for longer, though more intimate stays - as we'd be sharing a large room.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted tons of travelers and had a mostly positive experience with all. Am hoping to see some CS karma returned on my first trip through Europe, focusing on Belgium and Germany with a dip into the Czech Republic

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Near the equator in Uganda, I was very close to a lioness as she stalked across the plain. I snapped a picture, not realizing the sound wasn't turned off, it beeped and she immediately ground to a halt and looked straight up at me, locking eyes.

I've read quiet a lot, have a wide range of well, random trivia really with a focus on the Victorian era. I am a published writer, and a trained Library technician. I'm also quick and adaptable on the street.

I very much want to learn to be a better person, and a better friend.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I'm a natural storyteller, and professional writer. I'm also a story collector, I love to learn and hear about everything. Extremely clean and courteous, I am adventurous and extraordinarily curious. I worry a lot about how others are feeling and generally put others first. I've hosted many people so I am aware of what makes a good guest.
