About Me

CURRENT MISSION
Make things. Be generous. Learn well.
(Less abstractly, make great theatre.)

ABOUT ME
I'm a curious person I think.
I like nothing better than to make things with people.
Especially music and stories.
I work in the literary office at a theater in Berkeley, CA.
But that's just for now.
I'm working hard to know more about the world.
Especially through history, earth sciences, and art.
I'm passionate about history and nature and creativity and people.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Because there's no better way to get to know a place than to get to know its people.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I spent the summer before last couchsurfing in Europe. I especially enjoyed my stay in Edinburgh at the Fringe Festival.

Then this past summer I couchsurfed around China and met all sorts of great people. One of my hosts even helped me land a job with a craft brewery in Yunnan!

Then I couchsurfed with my sister in Vietnam and met some amazing people.

This service really does make the world a friendlier place.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In Turkey I watched almost 10,000 people gather in front of Hagia Sophia at 5 AM to demonstrate their desire that it be reopened as a religious place and not just a museum. I was the only person in the sea of people wearing shorts and standing in a fountain in the middle of the square (because there was nowhere else to stand). I learned that 10,000 people bowing in silence makes a sound.
