About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Live, laugh, dance, love, walk away better for the experience

ABOUT ME

Hello Surfers! I am Hawaii-born, Massachusetts-raised, New York City-educated, and world-bound. My young life's travels have taken me across the Hawaiian Islands, over to Guam, the Philippines, France (Paris, Marseilles, Colmar, Munster), back across the Pond, up-and-down the East Coast of America (Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Virginia, Washington DC, Maryland, North Carolina, Georgia, Florida and the Keys), down to the Bahamas and the Domincan Republic, over to Las Vegas, California, up to Canada (Quebec), and back again. My passions include travel (obviously), scuba diving, the arts, and meeting as many people and gathering as many stories as I can.

PHILOSOPHY

Do good. No excuses. Pobody's nerfect, so take it easy on each other.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I love meeting people and exploring new terrain. I grew up running a Hostel in Massachusetts with my parents, the oldest privately-owned hostel in the United States; so even before I joined CS, I suppose we were technically hosting :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Attended CS meet-up events in Paris, Strasbourg, Stuttgart, Esslingen. Surfed my way around Stuttgart and Esslingen, Dresden, and Berlin. Went to CS dinner parties and dances. Met the most wonderful, warmest, most generous people in my travels, reminding me that the world is such a beautiful place :)

Interests

Gather/tell stories, create art, lay on beaches, gaze at stars, swim, run, climb, drink, laugh.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Seeing the sun rise from the top of Haleakala; hopping on a Jeepney in Manila; diving with sharks off of Molokini Crater HI, Nassau Bahamas, and in Key West; sitting in the cockpit of a Corsair sunk in 110 feet of water off the coast of Diamond Head; hiking through vineyards in Alsace-Loraine; getting left by a night bus at Midnight in East France; trying [and failing] to eat escargot in Amsterdam; BeatBox World Championships in Berlin; sitting on the banks of the Elbe gaping at the Dresden skyline; getting stranded at a gas station in East France by my bus driver at midnight; swimming directly next to 2-meter wide manta rays. Every day is an adventure for me.
