About Me
Hey there!
I am originally from Australia but have been travelling for the past 16 months. Starting in Amsterdam, I cycled 4,000 km down the west coast of Europe to Portugal, where I lived for the next six months. I then moved to London and settled there until I had the unexpected opportunity to go to Burning Man. I made my way over to this side of the world and since the festival I have been working my way up the west coast of the US, aiming to hitchhike to my old home in Vancouver.
Before beginning this trip I worked in the film, game and television industry throughout Australia, Canada and USA, but after six years of sitting at a desk for 12 hours a day I decided it wasn't the best way to spend my twenties. So I left everything to get a little lost in the world. Since then I've explored many different mediums and tools, learning to tattoo by hand by a Romanian nomad cycling the world, painting giant murals all across Portugal and just recently holding two solo exhibitions in London.
I feel like this crazy adventure has just begun and I can't wait to see what happens next!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Im sure it's the same as everyone here. I'm lucky enough to be able to travel the world, the last thing I want to do is stay in a hotel.
Interests
You can usually find me drawing in a corner, with a cheap pen and paper in hand. Over the years I have expanded on this idea and swapped that pen and paper to ink and skin, paint and canvas, spray and walls and pretty much anything else I can get my hands on.
I love hearing new perspectives and exploring alternative views of the world. I've found it's easy to get lost in a comfortable categorisation of life, yet the more people I meet the more I tear away at that illusion. Stories seem to the lessons we carry through life and so I'm honoured when someone has something they want to share.
I also spent the majority of my life playing basketball, while dabbling in slacklining and climbing and indulging in probably way too much film and televsion.
