I've spent the better part of my twenties traveling. Am now the CEO of a renewable energy company.

I think if you put out good you'll get it back. I think CS is partly built on that principle, which is what makes it work for me.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've mostly been hosting and have enjoyed it. Met some cool people and found it to be a little like traveling without having to go anywhere. I'm looking forward to surfing and the new adventures and people and places that will come along with it.

Music, Movies, and Books

I've been int the adventure non-fiction genre recently. I like most things that I've read by Cormac McCarthy and Kurt Vonnegut. The Unbearable Lightness of Being and Into Thin Air, although totally different, are both favorites. And I pick up what Eckhart Tolle is putting down--just to round things out.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

A hot spring waterfall in the jungle of Guatemala. Coolest. Place. Ever.

Getting stuck in a landslide while riding in the back of a fruit truck. AKA taking the "alternate route" out of Machu Picchu.

Surfing trips in Marcela (our car) in NZ.

Skiing with my Dad at Les Trois Vallees.

Prospecting Central and South America.

Vang Vieng, Laos.

Outwitting thieves (so far, knock on wood) in just about every Latin American country.
