About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Doing something awesome with my life!…duh.
ABOUT ME
"That good-looking college student, sitting down with all the parents and teachers in Palmetto this summer"
PHILOSOPHY
Doing something awesome with my life! Most of the time you just have to do something and say it's awesome. It's really easy like that. Everyone should invest in a bullshit card. It's quite handy.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I lived in a Co-operative house across the street from campus--owned and operated by 28 weirdos. I love the idea of co-operative living and helping people out when they ask for it. Pitching in and general reciprocity is the game there, which seems to carry over to the CS2 project as well.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've hosted a band from Brooklyn in our living room on their way out west. We made breakfast burritos in the morning and reflected upon getting caught by Cub Foods for stealing 3.2 the night before.
Some Canadians dropped by, as well as a few others on couchsurfing. It's always a treat to hear people talk about what the hell they're up to.
Eight people including myself went on a week long "Health and Wreck-reation Tour 2007" playing rock n' roll house shows at friends' houses in exchange for a place to sleep.
My girlfriend and I couchsurfed in Barcelona, Paris and Florence over winter break 2007-2008.
Summer of 2008 I went on a 2 month road trip across the country to "document the homemade album cover narrative" on a grant from school. I photographed 5000 record covers, interviewed over a dozen enthusiasts, makers and collectors, and couchsurfed with a few. It was sweet.
My girlfriend has hosted couchsurfers, too!
Interests
Motown, screen-printing, reading, hanging out, having a cup of tea or a laugh, playing my bass, playing tunes, bicycling (especially on bikes built for more than one), cooking for people, pulling my bullshit card on people who are bullshitting.

Music, Movies, and Books
I've been known to do all three…
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My housemates and I formed a crew on a beautiful sound-softening snowy night and proceeded to win the hearts of the police and neighbors while gacking some terminally straight folks out with our erotic snow sculpture depiction of a man getting his asshole fisted by a midget.
Teach, Learn, Share
Ideally, learning, teaching and sharing should not be a thing that is organized by outside agency. People learn from people by sharing and giving. I know how to play music and cook, and am always looking for people to play with, and folks to feed and feast with. I'm good with bicycles-repairing and the likes. I also try to be as supportive as I can of family and friends so they can do what they want to do.
