About Me

ABOUT ME

I'm usually pretty quiet and introverted unless I'm around people I'm familiar with. Lately I am trying to push myself to meet more new people and be more outgoing. I'm interested in learning about new cultures and meeting people of various backgrounds. I'm actually biracial (Asian and white) and appreciate some aspects of both cultures.

PHILOSOPHY

I'm politically liberal but enjoy discussing and exploring a wide variety of other beliefs and try to keep an open mind. I don't think there's any true meaning to life - the only "purpose" is to find one's own purpose.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined! I'm planning on making a road trip down to Texas this winter (December 2013 - January 2014) and will need to stop in Kansas on the way, and want to drive around to several places in Texas when I'm there. Mainly Austin and San Antonio, possibly other places.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I just joined recently!

Interests

Read news stories online. Discuss random things. I like to drink coffee, watch sci-fi and espionage thrillers. On weekends I often go out drinking around uptown or northeast with friends.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Sci-fi such as the new Star Trek movies, Firely / Serenity. Spy thrillers such as Argo, Breach, the Good Shepherd. A few superhero movies such as the newest Batman trilogy, Spiderman.

Music: Mainstream popular stuff. Lady Gaga, Daft Punk, Aerosmith are a few of my favorites lately.

Books: Non-fiction books such as pop-sci, some philosophy, Steinbeck

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Lots of places in Taiwan! Stayed with family friends several times there (not through CS) on three different occasions. Saw lots of awesome things like Alishan National Park, Taroko Gorge, Taipei 101, Ludao, Sun Moon Lake, and ate lots of strange food.
