About Me
CURRENT MISSION
My current mission is to have a month of European summer, before braving the chills of Melbourne's winter
ABOUT ME
I am in my third year of my degree with the end in sight. I am a drummer and I have been a singer in a few bands.
I have spent the last five years living around Melbourne in share houses, meeting new people almost daily and enjoying very communal living arrangements with frequent guests.
PHILOSOPHY
Self awareness is the most important objective someone has. If you learn about yourself and strengthen elements of your own life you are better able to have a positive impact on others lives. You cannot tell someone what to do or how they should see the world, but If they can see how happy you are with your personal philosophy they will be more inclined to mimic or create their own positive outlook on life.
It is important to enjoy life and get outside and see the world. I live to hike and see nature, but I also love to party and see friends in the city.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
In my share houses in Prahran, Colingwood, Fitzroy and Footscray I have hosted a number of travelers and showed them around my city. Taking them to the best bars and restaurants and helping them avoid the tourist traps, and the boring parts of my city.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I have not had a "Couchsurfing TM" experience through this website, but I have stayed with friends of friends and enjoyed their hospitality in my own country. There is a large culture in Melbourne of hosting guests and sharing music and stories.
Interests
I love playing and listening to a variety of music. I have played drums in jazz and rock bands, most recently I have played in Hardcore punk bands. I love to go digging in crates in record stores for vinyl records and have cultivated a broad selection of records
Similarly, I enjoy reading and collect old books I find in second hand book stores. I honestly believe there are no bad books, as even a book you don't enjoy can teach you something about yourself or the world.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Squatted in the hills of Riomaggiore. After exploring the five towns of Le Cinque Terre I would return to Riomaggiore and set up camp among the vineyards and mountain top farms. Near my camp was a natural running stream that I drank from and could hear as I drifted off to sleep. There was rarely a cloud in the sky so I was able to look at the stars and watch the fireflies that surrounded me illuminate as I drifted off to sleep.
Teach, Learn, Share
I have recently finished a short course on Post modern literature and would be happy to discuss notions of Pastiche, Simulacrum and the works of Thomas Pynchon, James Joyce and Roland Barthes
