About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Nature education, appreciation, conservation, rehabilitation. If we make friends with the people, trees, animals, fungus, rocks, wind, water, sun and earth, we can know how important the web of relationships between everything is.

ABOUT ME

A capable adventurer who can walk and climb most places. I like fun. I like to find amazement in the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Breathe.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

The best way to see the world is with a local friend. Let's show eachother our favourite places to eat, watch the sun rise and explore.

Interests

I build things, practical and artful. I like architecture, music and art. I like culture, food and language. People are wonderfully weird creatures.

I make nature videos and write.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love to dance. I love attending concerts. I am fairly eclectic and critical.
I love music that balances dark, uplifting, harsh and serene, especially with non-english vocals so I can enjoy the human voice as an instrument and be less distracted by (often) mundane lyrics.

My favourite books are A Brief History of Time by Stephen Hawking and Story of B by Daniel Quinn.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had a dream about moving to Japan. So I did. Got a job and a visa after arriving. Had a blast!

Teach, Learn, Share

I am tall, handy and resourceful. I like to build and fix things out of a variety of materials including wood, bamboo, metal, bone.
I am a forager of wild edibles. Mycology is my speciality.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can fix and build things. I can lift and move things. I can teach English. I like to solve mysteries.

Countries I’ve Visited

Canada, Costa Rica, Czech Republic, Germany, Guatemala, India, Japan, Mexico, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Panama, Poland, Scotland, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
