About Me
London Medic born and raised,
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Part of the joy of travelling is the company I meet, I love sharing stories, sharing perspectives (and sharing food) and have always found fellow travellers to be wonderfully like-minded.
So wherever I go, whether it's sharing the experience of two foreigners getting lost together or the seeing beyond the surface with a savvy local, it would be brilliant to share it with someone.

Music, Movies, and Books
It is totally unfair to pick favourites! So..
I'm easy and listen to way too much music, plenty of folk-, punk-, alt- and post- rock; trip hop, electronic; jazz; motown, funk...)
I procrastinate and watch far far too much TV and movies too, so to shortlist a couple: Before Sunset, 7 Up, 12 Angry Men, Spirited Away
The Wire, Fargo, Generation Kill, The Office
Books... The Diving Bell and the Butterfly, To Kill a Mockingbird, Slaughterhouse Five, The Unbearable Lightness of Being, The Autobiography of Malcolm X, Into The Wild
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I hope this whole trip counts as 'one' thing! - My time in Ghana was with a disabilities centre and schools project, I was thrown into challenges, adventures and a bunch of new people. Fasted with colleagues for Ramadan through the blazing summer sun, filmed and edited our own foreign language short documentary, presented to packed halls of teachers, taught English, Biology and IT through language and communication barriers to the deaf and blind, patched up a power line through several hundred metres of dense corn fields, negotiated a minibus whilst stranded at 3am in the mean streets of Kumasi, waged a war against the ant hordes in our house, got caught in a stampede and had a gun pointed at me, and simply, had a blast.
Teach, Learn, Share
I love picking up new things, and am constantly trying to improve my French, Spanish and German, guitar, photography and most importantly - cooking. Most recently picked up Italian and Middle Eastern cuisine, and happy to share what I know of all of these!
What I Can Share with Hosts
Deep chats, a helping hand, a couple of recipes here and there, travel tales, irresponsible medical advice, plenty of music and film recommendations, some Muay Thai and hopefully a couch to lend in return!
