ABOUT ME

I'm a laid back, low maintenance person, who self-entertains well. I definitely like to get out and meet people, but I recharge by retreating into my thoughts.

I'm a reasonably serious artist. I used to primarily be a painter, but now I'm on the new media train. I still like to take photos and draw, but mostly I'm playing around with electronics, sensor networks, video, and sound these days.

I play bass and guitar and compose electro-acoustic music. I'm a little bit of a rock climbing junkie. I like to surf, too, but I'm a total beginner. I sail competitively (and leisurely). I'm passionate about food.

PHILOSOPHY

Take yourself out of your comfort zone every now and then. Life's no fun without a little risk.

So far, I've only hosted people. It's been a great experience, and I look forward to crashing on a couch near you in the future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've done quite a bit of ad-hoc couch surfing - France, Eastern Europe, Mexico, New Zealand. Probably my most interesting experience was staying with Christian missionaries in Bratislava.
