About Me
My girlfriend, Rhea, and I quit our jobs at the end of 2017 to pursue our dreams of travel, new experiences and we're making our way down to our new home, New Zealand.
In the meantime, we are slowly making our way through Asia for the second time. We would love to spend some time getting to know the wonderful local people, cultures, learning local languages and helping out in communities whatever way we can. We have been volunteering in a number of the countries we have been to ranging from hostels to farms and teaching english to all ages.
We have a keen heart and passion for travelling slowly. It enables us to spend time in one place for longer, settle in, form friendships and really learn about communities and local cultures.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
We're keen believers in the kindness in strangers and what you may not have today, you could repay another day.
We both have a genuine interest in the world, ethics, politics and a love of people and the environment. We're two people who always have a smile, promote kindness and patience.
For us, couch surfing is an opportunity to meet people around the world and form friendships in genuine environments. There's something about forming friendships within familiar surroundings that creates more genuine connections.

Music, Movies, and Books
We are real music lovers and attend music festivals when possible. Eclectic and varied would probably describe most of our spotify playlists best. Tracks drifting between ; Hiphop, electronica, soul, jazz, blues, ambient, classical, classic rock, punk, electro and country to name a few. History and date bares no significance to great music.
Same applies for film. Our portable hard-drive is ever expanding with all genre of movies. Some recent favourites include; Mud, Beasts of the Southern Wild, Place Beyond the Pines and Precious
Books- we don't read as much as we would like but recent favourites include Shantaram, 1984 and The Establishment
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Quitting our jobs! Reducing our worldly possessions down from 1 flat to 1 box and 1 bag each. Hiking up Mount Zhaga (Sichuan, China), camping overnight halfway up in the freezing cold. It was an exhausting effort but we managed it.
Almost every day we do something that challenges us and that pushes us out of our comfort zones. We both believe that the best way to learn through life and push ourselves to be better is to do the things that make us uncomfortable and make the 'uncomfortable zone' a little bit smaller.
Teach, Learn, Share
As you've probably gathered by now, we love meeting new people from across the world, learning about them and sharing our stories too. There is so much to learn from how different people live and we are eager to find out more about everyone!
What I Can Share with Hosts
We hope to share a kind spirit and a smile. We enjoy cooking and would love to share a meal or dish from home or even something that we've learnt along the way.
