About Me

I'm travelling around the world indefinitely... Currently roadtripping around the US and hopefully into Canada. Always looking for new adventures with new, interesting people.

I used to live and work in London in Marketing within the education sector. I decided to temporarily leave the daily grind and am now leading an odd, exciting, transient life passing through various strange places.

Really enjoy anything spontaneous and unexpected. I will try anything new and love seeing strange and weird things. Always up for a laugh, a few drinks, and chatting nonsense with people for hours.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

A friend I met on my travels organised for both of us to couchsurf in Mumbai. It was a great experience with a brilliant host - I was sold then.

I like the idea of meeting new like minded people who have the unique knowledge of their own cities - I want to tap into that in order to see and be exposed to the best stuff.
Having the opportunity to spend time with somebody local only adds to the experience of the place.

Interests

TV (binge watching GOOD series - sopranos, true detective, breaking bad)
Art - really enjoy photography and modern art installation pieces.
Photography
Playing guitar and seeing live music
Sports - Chelsea FC fan, play football and golf. Willing to play anything.
Fishing - ambition to catch a HUGE fish in Asia. Darts and Pool always go down well with a decent beer.
Good food.
Tea - love all tea. Good morning Coffee.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Genuinely anything and everything. My Ipod is full of eclectic numbers from film scores to Wu Tang through to NSync. Willing to give anything a listen.

Books: Anything by Jonathan Franzen. The Road, 1984, To Kill a Mockingbird to name a few other favourites.

Movies: The thing I'm missing most travelling around is being out of the loop and watching films. A few favourites include: Into the Wild, It's a Wonderful Life, Garden State, Pulp fiction, Jumanji.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

- Motorbiked solo across remote Mongolia for 22 Days
- Climed to Everest Base Camp
- Worked on an organic tea plantation in far Eastern Nepal

What I Can Share with Hosts

-Hours of fun playing card/ board games
-Unrivalled knowledge of very bad music and exceptionally trashy films from the 90s and naughties.
-I can cook excellent food (no lie) - sausage and lentil bake is my speciality.
- I am excellent at chatting about complete rubbish
- I am also very well behaved and respectful guest... and have MASSIVE appreciation for other people and their stuff. Basically I'm a pretty down to earth guy.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Cambodia, China, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Italy, Laos, Malaysia, Mongolia, Nepal, Portugal, Scotland, Singapore, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Tunisia, United States, Viet Nam, Wales
