Chi sono
I was born in Mexico City to American parents, grew up and went to university in the US, studied in Chile for a semester, and now live in Spain. I get anxious when I don't have anything to do, and am always looking for a new place to explore.
English teaching is my day job, but my true passion is taking every chance I have to experience life to the fullest and see the world. I live for visiting new places, meeting new people, and trying new things. It's sometimes hard to find a balance between discovering new places and returning to old favorites, but I try my best.
I never leave a place without sampling the local food, and I also enjoy beer, wine, coffee and tea (most of the time in that order).
Unfortunately, I can't accept guests for summer 2017. I'm traveling during this time, and don't have a home to welcome them into! But that will change in October, when I'll be returning to work in the south of Spain.
Perché sono iscritto su Couchsurfing
The best way to get to know a new place is to spend as much time as you can among the people who live there. Hostels are a great way to meet people from all over the world (although sometimes just the USA and Australia), but I think Couchsurfing is much more authentic.
Interessi

Musica, film e libri
My interests here cover basically all genres -- how else do you discover new things? I'm always looking for recommendations.
Favorite movies include: In Bruges, The Hangover, Lord of War
I'm not too into modern literature (at least nothing that I've found yet) but will read anything by Jack London, Mark Twain or Rudyard Kipling.
I would do basically anything to see Arcade Fire in concert.
Una cosa incredibile che ho fatto
I hate this question, because I can't name just one. I packed up and moved to Argentina when I was 17 as an introductory experience to world travel. It didn't go as well as I'd hoped, but it taught me a lot about what not to do, and I'm a better traveler and stronger person because of it. I've seen some amazing sunrises over Machu Picchu and in the Sahara Desert. In June 2016 I took a solo three-week bus trip around the Balkan countries after finishing my first year teaching English.

I can teach you about the city I live in, and about why my country is such a strange place. If you're not from there, you probably have questions. Actually, even if you are from there, you might still have questions.
Teach me how to make a traditional food from your country, and show me around the place I'm visiting.
As my host, you're guaranteed a bottle of wine! If you don't like wine, we can negotiate a substitute :)
