Overview
About Me
About me...I'm an extrovert, very independent, and goofy. I am pleasantly chatty and look for the good side in people and experiences. I'm passionate about traveling and experiencing other cultures and love a new adventure. I have focused on my studies for the past two years with constant multi-tasking and sleep deprivation, so needless to say I am ecstatic for my upcoming travels.
I'm involved with grassroot movement consulting, community organizing, and policy change around family issues (specifically women and children). I'm striving for a job that allows me to travel ; )
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I will be completing graduate school (Masters in Social Work) and will be traveling Europe for about 40 days with a friend. We are flying into Gothenburg July 7th and hoping to travel to Copenhagen, Hamburg, Amsterdam, Brussels, Dusseldorf, Paris, Geneva, Zurich and any other fun cities/towns we come across along the way.
I am new to this site but my whole professional career is based around community development and building solidarity across humanity, stemming from local leadership. So I LOVE this site!! and plan on hosting when I return from my travels.
Interests
I'm good at organizing and making fun out of nothing. I love meaningful conversation, dancing, singing in the shower, and bull-shitting.
I feel grounded when I am in nature and enjoy any outdoor activity: hiking, surfing, snowboarding, skiing, biking, and yoga.
Six things I could never live without: Good friends, family, time in nature, passion, curiosity, and laughing.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love 90s music and appreciate 1940s Jazz and new country. To list a few favorites: Alanis Morissette, Fiona Apple, Bastille, Norah Jones, Billie Holiday, and Frank Sinatra I enjoy mystery romance novels and am not ashamed to say it. I also like those meaningful books about life. I don't watch much TV and for movies I like comedy, since my work tends to have a lot of drama and action in it already. I love all types of food, especially Indian food, Thai, or something new.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Participated in a protest against police brutality and put body on the line.
Teach, Learn, Share
I spend a lot of time pondering career aspirations, alternative lifestyles to traditional norms, gender roles, equity, and travel.
