Currently on my first long term backpacking trip, travelling through India and heading east to finish in Thailand. I’m a mature, tidy and polite guest and would be grateful for any safe space to sleep in, and for any guidance and experiences I can learn from hosts along the way.

I am a qualified teacher of mathematics but have stopped teaching for now to see more of the world. I also play guitar and sing vocals for a rock band back at home.

Music, Movies, and Books

Punk rock and ska are my main loves but my musical tastes are varied and open. I like classic rock, the blues and almost anything with guitars, bass and drums.

I don’t watch a huge amount of films these days but I generally prefer something funny or based on real life.

I read a lot of non-fiction in an attempt to learn more about the world. I’m currently reading ‘The Book of the Year 2019: A guide to all the weird and wonderful things that happened last year’

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last September, two friends and I completed the half marathon trail during the Vietnam mountain marathon festival series, running through the rice terraces and villages of north-west Vietnam, climbing over 1km of ascent/descent throughout the race.
