About Me

CURRENT MISSION

do it to it.

ABOUT ME

The girl that's always excited about trees and insects who collects a lot of random things. She dances all the time, doing little jigs (no one I know says jigs) when she's real happy and laughs at her own cheesy jokes. Oh, and she tells great stories backwards and is always really really optimistic.

PHILOSOPHY

You're always going to be somewhere doing something. That time is what you make it. So, there's no need to worry about the future, because you'll always be somewhere doing something.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a bunnnchhhh of surfers with my [now ex :( ] roommate Gabby [http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/gabbygp/]. It's been the best. We've met so many AMAZING, talented, full of life, happy people. We've gone camping, bar hopping, played apples to apples, danced, ate, shared stories, and made great great memories.
I've also surfed with a good friend of mine in Toulouse, France with happy generous couple last summer.

Interests

I'm really interested in hand made creations... things that embody ideas..art to sum it up. I have a BFA in Fibers, textiles is where its at. I'm really into screen printing these days, but natural dye, felting, drawing, sewing, computer things, weaving, knitting, drawing, and writing are all things I'm in to. Conversations that go in circles with no real resolution are some of my favorittteeee. I also REALLY LOVE TREES..tree bark to be specific. Mountains, live music (banjos yummm), hiking, fungi, insects, (do you know about the peacock spider? because you should check that guy out) hot tea, good food, dancing, good beer, Wyoming, happy people, Savannha's streets, little cute babies, swimming in rivers and springs, cows, farming (wwoofing)...all that stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was hiking in Wyoming, Granite Canyon to be specific, with two really great friends. In total it was about an 8 hour hike or longer and we were on our way out. They were up ahead and I was lagging behind. I looked around me and just felt an OVERWHELMING yearning to say thank you to something or someone...for everything...for how small I felt...for how perfect the moment was to be so embraced and wrapped up in...life. I got the same feeling again when some friends and I got snowed in in Flagstaff about a month or so ago. I'd never seen so much snow. I was elated. it was....amazing.
