Hey, I'm Jamie from China, studying in Aalto University in Finland since last August. I'm a super friendly and easy-going girl with an open mind and a grateful heart.

Travelling and the idea of being a traveller rather than a tourist fascinate me. I'm always inspired when I read or hear other traveller's stories--those moments are so enjoyable.

I wish to meet people from different parts of the world and be amazed by how wonderful and diverse life would be.

I will fly back to China this summer and I'm planning a trip solo mostly by train through the Europe before I leave. Couchsurfing is absolutely the right way to make this trip as wonderful and meaningful as it can be.

To meet the locals, experience different culture and share stories and lives.

HOW I STARTED
Andy posted an offer of riding to Turku from Helsinki along the King’s road on Couchsurfing and its Helsinki Facebook page. I thought it was time that I be brave and take the adventure so I went for it. I was so lucky to be picked!
It was an amazing trip and wonderful riding. Later we became good friends and I was invited to his Sauna & BBQ night where I met a group of awesome fellows.
That was how my couch surfing journey started!

Music, Movies, and Books

I love country music, Rock N Roll. Jazz is beautiful too. I like Avril and Taylor Swift but listen to many others as well of course, such as Ante Bellum and Pink.

As to movies, I love American movies, especially those which are adventurous, intelligent, and with mysteries. Romance and suspension are also what I like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Witnessing and photoing the Northern Light--Aurora in Lapland, the home town of Santa Clause, in a minus 30 degree night;
Swimming in the Arctic Ocean.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can definitely share my travel stories and Chinese culture with you. And make dumplings and other Chinese food, or Japanese Sushi.
Also, I can teach you some Chinese and basic Japanese if you like!
