About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Improving and enjoying the world

ABOUT ME

I'm an easy-going, fun-loving, good-natured guy. I enjoy spending time with people, and rarely turn down a drink, but I'm also very happy to spend time alone, working on my own projects. I like (well-behaved) children and animals, and strive to maintain an ongoing sense of wonder and appreciation for the amazing life I've been given. I'm a frugal guy, and don't put much stock in fancy things that cost lots of money, but I'm always happy to get the next round. I'm a devout agnostic, which is to say I think the only thing that I can be certain of (in the spiritual realm) is uncertainty, and I think that's great. I think we're all here to enjoy life as much as possible while simultaneously helping everyone else in the world do the same.I can pretty much get along with anyone, and I particularly love people with ample amounts of humor, empathy and enthusiasm.

PHILOSOPHY

The Universe is full of magical things, patiently waiting for our wits to grow sharper

Interests

I love learning how things work and how to make stuff. I write, draw, paint and make books. I enjoy cooking and eating food, playing games, and making stuff. Specifically I love food from Asia, Settlers of Catan & soccer, and making art, books, and dabbling in some basic construction and tinkering. I like reading books and magazines, watching TV & movies and listening to the radio.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Worked summers as a white-water rafting guide on the Salmon and Snake Rivers in Idaho, plus one trip rowing a baggage boat through the Grand Canyon. Splashed around in the water, slept under the stars and drank whiskey by the river.
