About Me

An eager outdoor enthusiast looking to experience any and every opportunity I can. Recently graduated from Outdoor Adventure Leadership at Laurentian University in Sudbury, and finally have the freedom to get going.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am looking to stay with likeminded folks who are friendly and happy to host a traveller and/or adventurer as I make my way across and throughout Canada. Eager to get to know areas and people as I travel and see this as an amazing opportunity to meet new people as I travel.

Music, Movies, and Books

I am a big fan of ALMOST all music with some exceptions, that being said I definitely don't hate any music.

I'd say I am a pretty big movie buff, having spent a lot of the university's free internet downloading and streaming any movie I felt remotely interested in.

Not as big of a reader, however the books I have read I am extremely passionate about. Big fan of anything by Orson Scott Card, David Wong, as well as some philosophical authors like Friedrich Nietzsche

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I had the amazing opportunity to lead a 35-day canoe trip down the Missinaibi River with a group of leadership participants for a summer camp. The kicker is that 5 year prior I had done the exact trip, only as a participant. Running that trip as a 16 year old led me to school and a career in the outdoor industry. Seeing the kids experience that trip and watching that growth and being part of it was amazing.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am very open to learning and teaching anything I can. I know a fair bit about wilderness camping and remote survival, as well as extensive remote first aid. I also come with what I consider to be a very positive and easy flowing outlook on life and everything that can be handed to an individual.

I like to think I know my way around a kitchen pretty well having worked in restaurant on and off over the past 10 years. I also take up cooking as a hobby.

What I Can Share with Hosts

Conversations happen easy, and I find they are always rewarding, whether it be laughing about something absolutely nonsensical or pulling into deeper thought.
