ABOUT ME

Hmmmm.... Jamie in a nutshell: My passion is travel, I have a general curiosity of just about everything. I love languages and would like to learn at least three more in my lifetime. I try to think and experience all things "outside of the box". I know it's quite a goal, but I would like to travel to every country! I love meeting new people and I believe I can learn from everyone I come in contact with. Hopefully that will be you!

I can be quiet and pensive, or I can be a complete goofball.... depends on the situation.

PHILOSOPHY

I live my life for laughter, smiles, and general happiness. Life is too short to spend your time doing things that don't make you happy! I think laughter is the most beautiful sound and will act like the biggest goof ball to get someone to laugh.

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I just joined Couchsurfing but I've heard a lot about it and can't wait to get out there and make new friends. I don't have a couch to offer at the moment. But hopefully someday soon. I move around a lot, so if anyone sees where I am and would like to meet for a coffee, please let me know!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

On my travels to Chad, during a bush drive with my friend who lives there, we encountered two young male lions, who had just finished feasting. At one point we were only ten meters from them. They had stuffed themselves completely and were lounging in the shade. But every time the vultures would land near the recently slaughtered water buffalo, they would drag their full bellies back over and chase them off. Not ready to surrender their prize to the hyenas and birds just yet. One of the most incredible sites I've seen in my life so far!
