I love travelling and meeting new people and couchsurfing seems to be a perfect combination of these passions of mine!

ABOUT ME

Hey everyone! I am originally from Canada but moved to the UK in 2001 with my family. My parents are British and so they wanted to move back to their roots and brought me along with them!

I started out in Wales and then in Cheshire, near Manchester. I then moved to London and am now in Manchester. I have traveled a lot and absolutely love seeing new places and meeting local people.

I am into music - I actually play drums - and am into exercising when I can! For spare time I like chilling out with people and drinking coffee and nice alcoholic drinks as well.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have couch surfed a few times but not through this site. It was more like couch surfing at friends of friends places. I am easy to get on with and don't cause trouble, so these were all no problem and were good. I did this in London and Edinburgh.

Interests

Music, Food, People, Cultures - I take an interest in most things. I like trying out new things and hobbies. More recently this was rock climbing. I haven't been in ages though!

Music, Movies, and Books

Matrix, Bourne trilogy and James Cameron films are all good. I like some comedies as well (if they are really good). A couple of these are Ace Ventura, Dumb and Dumber and Wedding Crashers. I like all kinds of music, but not a huge fan of heavy metal or classical music at the moment! Not a huge reader to be honest but I like non-fiction books most because you can generally learn a lot from them. But in general I would rather watch a movie than pick up a book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When I was in China in 2008 I participated in a game show which was similar to Takeshi's castle - if you know that? Was good fun and I felt like a celebrity for a day!

Teach, Learn, Share

I know a fair bit about Psychology because I studied that and worked as an Assistant Psychologist. I also know a fair bit about Research. But this probably bores a lot of people! I know a fair bit about international food and Asia. I love Asia as a place to visit so have taken an interest in it.
