About Me
Hello everyone!
For me in life, there no greater truth's than:
1. Try everything at least once.
2. The world is too big to spend in just one place.
I'm originally from Swansea, but 7 years after leaving Wales, only returning for brief periods, I now find myself back in the UK - although this time in Glasgow. And it was a hell of an adventure to get here.
I spent the last 4 years living in Vietnam and grappling with the question of what the hell to do with my life - and that led me down the path of becoming a software engineer. Ultimately, I hope to take this freelance and live nomadically, but we'll see what life has planned for me.
Right now, I'm focused on working on my tech skills. When I'm free, I like to travel around Scotland, do long-distance running, go on photo-walks, reading and cafe-hopping, as well as playing Xbox.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
For the first time in my life, I find myself with some stability. The travelling community has really looked after me during my 20s and I'd like to use this opportunity to give back.
I have an apartment right in the center of Glasgow and I'd like to host international travelers who are interested to know more about Glasgow, Scotland and the UK!
I can host singles, or with a little more notice, couples.
We can hang out and I can show you some cool places, or I can leave you alone to go exploring on your own!
Looking forward to meeting some interesting people.
Don't miss out on Scotland, it is an incredibly beautiful place.
Interests
I run about 5 times a week. I take it super seriously and am improving a lot. My current goal is to get a 1:30 half marathon time in the Great Northern run later this year.
I travel whenever I can. Literally just got back from India 2 weeks ago and had the best time. Time really slows down and you meet the most incredible people - even if only for just a day!
I'm an amateur photographer - currently shooting on a Canon 5DIII, although I do need to start investing in better lenses.
Lastly, I do like to write when inspiration strikes. I used to work as a journalist for a Chilean newspaper (bit random) and since then, I believe myself to be pretty good!
